Dental Treatments in Turkey

Smile with confidence

Dental treatment in Turkey has grown significantly over the past decade, and for good reason. The country's dental clinics combine internationally trained specialists, modern equipment and the same FDA and CE-approved materials used across Europe, at a fraction of UK private costs. For a single veneer, London clinics typically charge £800 to £1,200. A full set can reach £30,000. In Antalya, the same high-quality treatment starts from around £3,000 for a full set, using the same materials. For implants, UK private prices range from £2,000 to £5,500 per tooth. In Turkey, the same procedure starts from £300. Medstar works exclusively with accredited dental centres with English-speaking teams and a clinical approach focused on recommending only what each patient genuinely needs.

Why Turkey

Why patients travel to Turkey for dental treatment

Turkey has become one of the most established destinations for dental tourism in the world, particularly from the UK. The primary reason is cost dental implants in Turkey typically cost between £300 and £600 compared with £2,000 to £3,000 at a UK private clinic, while full sets of veneers that might cost £8,000 to £15,000 in London can be completed for £1,500 to £3,000. The quality difference is minimal. Turkish dental clinics use the same implant brands (Nobel Biocare, Straumann, Osstem) and the same porcelain and composite materials found in UK clinics. Many Turkish dentists have trained in Germany, the UK or the USA and hold international certifications.

The procedures

What we can arrange for you.

Dental implants

A titanium post is placed into the jawbone and a ceramic crown fitted on top, creating a permanent replacement for a missing tooth. Treatment typically requires two visits: implant placement on the first visit, then a healing period of three to four months, followed by the permanent crown. Brands at Perla Dental include Straumann Roxolid Active (from £800), Nobel Biocare (from £650) and Megagen, as well as Zygomatic implants for patients with reduced bone density.

Best for: Missing teeth, failed bridges, or patients wanting a permanent long-term solution

All-on-4 and full arch implants

A complete set of fixed teeth supported by four strategically placed implants per arch. Suitable for patients who have lost most or all teeth in one or both arches. Available with Straumann Roxolid (from £3,400 per arch), Nobel Biocare (from £3,200) or Megagen (from £2,000). Dramatically more cost-effective than UK pricing of £10,000 to £16,000 per arch.

Best for: Patients missing most or all teeth in one or both arches wanting a fixed permanent solution

Porcelain and laminate veneers

Ultra-thin shells of porcelain bonded to the front surface of existing teeth to correct discolouration, chips, gaps or mild misalignment. Perla Dental offers E-Max (from £300 per tooth), handmade laminate veneers (from £320 per tooth) and composite veneers (from £140 per tooth). A full set at Perla Dental starts from around £3,000, compared with £8,000 to £30,000 at a UK private clinic.

Best for: Discoloured, chipped or uneven teeth where the underlying structure is sound

Zirconia and E-Max crowns

Crowns cap a damaged tooth entirely, restoring both strength and appearance. Perla White zirconia crowns start from £200 and E-Max crowns from £300. Both use the same materials found in UK and European clinics. Monolithic zirconia crowns (from £190) offer additional durability for back teeth. Most crown work is completed within the same visit.

Best for: Heavily damaged, cracked or root canal treated teeth, or old metal crowns needing replacement

Root canal treatment

Removal of infected or damaged pulp from inside the tooth, followed by cleaning, shaping and sealing the root canals to save the natural tooth. Perla Dental provides root canal treatment for anterior teeth (from £110), premolars (from £130) and molars (from £150), all with filling included.

Best for: Infected, abscessed or severely damaged teeth where extraction would otherwise be necessary

Teeth whitening

Professional whitening using Opalescence (laser, from £250) or Zoom systems (from £300) delivers results significantly stronger than over-the-counter products. Completed in a single clinic session. Often combined with veneers or crowns as part of a full smile treatment plan.

Best for: Patients wanting brighter teeth as a standalone treatment or alongside other cosmetic dental work

Full smile makeover

A combination of any required treatments including implants, veneers, crowns, whitening and gum work designed as a single cohesive plan. The consultation, panoramic X-ray and 3D scan are all provided free of charge on arrival. Digital smile design allows patients to see their expected result before any work begins.

Best for: Patients seeking significant improvement across multiple teeth in a single visit to Turkey

Your journey

What to expect on your visit

Most dental treatment courses in Turkey take two to five days. On arrival you are transferred to your accommodation and the following morning taken to the clinic for your initial consultation. If you have a recent panoramic X-ray, bring it with you as this allows the dentist to assess bone levels and plan treatment in advance. If not, a complimentary 3D scan is carried out on arrival before your consultation. Veneers, crowns and most cosmetic work are completed within the visit. Dental implants typically require two visits: the implant is placed on the first visit, and after a healing period of three to four months patients return for the permanent crown fitting. Your Medstar coordinator is available throughout and our partner clinics focus on recommending only the treatment each patient genuinely needs.
